What is Ogiya HANGESHO
Oideyasu: Welcome to Kyoto. We at Hangesho welcome you to come by our shop and see our beautiful traditionally handcrafted fans (Kyo-sensu).
We are located between the scenic eastern hills of the Higashiyama area and the Kamogawa (river) in the famous Miyagawa-cho geisha district.
Our Kyoto fans are made onsite by traditional artisans. We have a variety of carefully chosen designs for all ages, seasons and occasions: men’s, women’s and children’s. Our traditional dance and decorative fans are also great for gifts and interiors displays. (Please ask to see our massive fan in our private showroom)
Whether it be just cooling off in the summer’s heat or adding a little Kyoto style to your attire wardrobe, we are confident that you will find something to suit your needs.
